We visited Sicily in 2017 . One of the many discoveries we made was the Island of Mothya, the island fortress of Carthage, close to Trapani, and the salt flats. Maybe you could add some info. It’s a fabulous little island with lots of history and archeological discoveries.
We stayed in Erice , which is also a great place to walk around and discover history, plus I remember a lovely bakery/pastry shop.
Coming from Canada, we also found the graveyard of so many young Canadians who died in the Allied invasion. A poignant place, with Mount Etna standing guard in the distance.
