Regarding the transport from BER to your hotel, you’re right about the regional trains. I’d suggest taking the RB14 or RE7 directly from the airport and getting off at Friedrichstrasse Station (the train ride takes 28 mins).

We are a family from Bulgaria going to Berlin for the first time in January. Flying from Sofia to Berlin Brandenburg Airport. We have booked a hotel called Meliá Berlin which should be located in a pretty good neighbourhood, right?

So my question now is, how do we get from Berlin Airport to this hotel in the easiest way? We are travelling with 2 children aged 5 and 8 so we don’t really want to change too many trains, but it looks like it’s pretty easy to take the train directly from the airport?

I’m just unsure about what station we should get off at if we take the Regional train? Or is it best to just take a taxi?

(Sorry for asking such a specific question – I have read your guide and think I understand the airport transport with the trains, but I just want to be 100% sure as I’m travelling with children)
