Planning a trip to Disneyland Paris? This guide covers the decisions that make the biggest difference: which park tickets to buy, where to stay, how to get there and whether a hotel-and-ticket package makes sense for your trip.
You can visit as a day trip from Paris or build a short holiday around the parks. Both work, but they lead to different choices about accommodation and transport. Below, I explain the options and introduce six places to stay, from themed Disney hotels to cabins and apartments.
One important update if you have read older guides: Walt Disney Studios Park is now called Disney Adventure World. Its new era, including World of Frozen, began in March 2026. Disneyland Park remains the separate park with Sleeping Beauty Castle.

Where is Disneyland Paris?
Disneyland Paris is east of central Paris, in the Marne-la-Vallée area. It is not a theme park you can simply walk to from a hotel near the Eiffel Tower. Your choice is usually between staying near the resort and travelling into Paris, or staying in Paris and travelling out for your park day.
If sightseeing is the main purpose of your holiday and Disney is one day of the trip, start with my guide to where to stay in Paris. If the parks are the main attraction, being close to them can make early starts and tired evenings much easier.
For families, I would think about the return journey as carefully as the morning arrival. A convenient journey at breakfast time can feel much longer after a full day of walking and queuing.
Tickets: one park or two?
The first question is whether you want access to Disneyland Park only or to both parks. The best choice depends on your time, interests and how much you want to fit into each day.
- Disneyland Park: the castle, classic Disney atmosphere and attractions spread across its themed lands.
- Disney Adventure World: the resort’s second park, formerly Walt Disney Studios Park, with experiences including World of Frozen, Avengers Campus and the Ratatouille area.
- A ticket covering both parks: useful if you want the flexibility to visit both, but check the exact validity and park-access conditions before paying.
I would not choose the most expensive ticket automatically. If you have only one day and your priority is the castle and classic attractions, you may prefer to spend that time in one park rather than rush between two.
If you want to explore both parks properly, spreading the visit over more than one day can give you a much more relaxed trip. That is especially worth considering with younger children or if meeting characters and watching shows matter as much as the rides.
Compare Disneyland Paris ticket options for your dates
Prices vary by date, ticket type and the number of days. I would check your actual dates rather than plan around an old starting price. Read the cancellation terms, entry conditions and any reservation requirements for the exact ticket you choose.
The official park calendar is the place to check opening hours. These change through the year, so a general guide cannot promise the same closing time every evening.
Booking a package or arranging the trip yourself
A hotel-and-ticket package can make a Disney-focused holiday straightforward, especially when you want to stay at a Disney hotel. Booking separately can work well when you want to combine a Paris city break with a park visit or choose an apartment outside the resort.
When comparing the options, put the full cost side by side: room, park tickets, transport, meals you want included and any extra nights. A room-only price can look attractive until you add admission for everyone in your group.
Equally, do not assume a hotel near Disneyland includes park tickets. Check the wording of the offer, including which days are covered and whether arrival and departure days are included.
For British readers, travelling by train is worth considering alongside flights. Eurostar explains the London-to-Disneyland route, including the connection in Lille. Do not plan around the old direct London-to-Disneyland service.
If you are travelling from the United States or elsewhere in Europe, it may make more sense to combine Disney with several nights in Paris. In that case, decide whether you would rather change hotels or keep one city base and make the return journey for your park visit.

Six places to stay at or near Disneyland Paris
The following hotels and resorts offer quite different experiences. Some put you close to the parks in a Disney setting; others give you more space but require extra transport planning. Check whether your offer includes tickets and how you will reach the entrance before booking.
1. Marvel-themed comfort close to the parks
Disney Hotel New York – The Art of Marvel combines a New York-inspired setting with Marvel artwork and theming. It is a four-star Disney hotel, not the five-star Disneyland Hotel by the park entrance.
This is one I would compare if you want the hotel to feel like part of the holiday and someone in your group loves Marvel. The theming is more contemporary than the Wild West or woodland settings of the hotels below.
There are pool facilities, but check any scheduled closures and the conditions for your dates before making those the deciding factor. Character experiences and other extras can also have their own arrangements.

2. A Wild West setting with Toy Story touches
Disney Hotel Cheyenne is a three-star option with a Wild West atmosphere and Toy Story-inspired rooms.
It is worth comparing if your children like Woody and Jessie or you want a clearly themed hotel without choosing one of the more expensive options. The buildings are spread across the site, so your room location can affect the walk within the hotel grounds.
I would compare the total package price rather than the room price alone. Also check the walking route and shuttle arrangements for the time you expect to return from the parks.

3. Cars theming at a simpler Disney hotel
Disney Hotel Santa Fe is a two-star Disney hotel with a Cars and Route 66 theme, inspired by the American Southwest.
It is a sensible one to include in your comparison if you want to keep the Disney setting but are happier with simpler accommodation. As with Cheyenne, you should think about the location of your room within the wider hotel site.
The right choice between these two may come down to the full price for your dates and which theme your group prefers. Do not assume one is always cheaper throughout the year.

4. Apartments, cottages and time away from the parks
Center Parcs Villages Nature Paris offers a different kind of holiday from a conventional Disney hotel. Think apartments or cottages, more independence and time spent around the resort as well as in the theme parks.
The water-park facilities are a major attraction if you want days with something other than rides and queues. I would look at this option for a longer family stay, particularly if cooking some meals yourself would make life easier.
It is not a Disney hotel beside the park entrance. Check the current transport options, journey time and parking arrangements. Also check exactly what access to the resort’s facilities your booking includes.

5. Woodland cabins for a trip with a car
Disney Davy Crockett Ranch is the cabin option in this selection. The woodland setting gives you a different feeling from staying in a large hotel building.
The cabins can be useful for families who want separate living space and the option to prepare food. If that sounds appealing, compare the layout and sleeping arrangements for your group rather than only the maximum advertised occupancy.
You need to plan for a car here: the ranch does not have the usual free Disney hotel shuttle to the parks. This is a crucial distinction from several of the other Disney hotels, so I would not book it for a car-free holiday without a workable transport plan.

6. A woodland-lodge atmosphere near Disney Lake
Disney Sequoia Lodge is a three-star hotel inspired by American national-park lodges. Its woodland style may appeal if you prefer a calmer-looking setting after a busy day.
There is an important current consideration: the hotel is undergoing a phased refurbishment while remaining open. Disney has announced newly themed rooms as part of the project, with the first renovated rooms planned for early 2027.
Read the current Sequoia Lodge refurbishment information and check the situation for your room and dates. Do not assume that a booking during the works guarantees a renovated room or uninterrupted access to every facility.

Getting to Disneyland from central Paris
For many visitors staying in Paris, the RER A is the straightforward public-transport option. You want a train to Marne-la-Vallée–Chessy, the station by the park entrances. Check the destination display because the line branches.
RATP’s Disneyland travel information explains the route. Your total journey depends on where in Paris you start, so include the walk to the station and any interchange when planning.
I would also check the return service before entering the park, particularly if you want to stay for the evening entertainment. It is much nicer to know your route back than to work it out with tired children at the station.
Getting there from Charles de Gaulle or Orly
If you are flying in mainly for Disneyland, compare the airport-to-hotel journey before choosing your flight. A cheaper flight is not always the cheaper trip once transfers and arrival times are included.
From Charles de Gaulle, some TGV services run to Marne-la-Vallée–Chessy. Check the actual timetable and bookable departures with SNCF Connect. Allow time for passport control, baggage collection and reaching the railway station rather than booking an unrealistically tight connection.
For airport terminals and transport information, use Paris Aéroport. The most suitable route from Orly can differ from the best route from Charles de Gaulle, especially with luggage or a late arrival.

Attractions and planning your park day
Disneyland Park is the place for the castle and classics such as Pirates of the Caribbean, Peter Pan’s Flight and Dumbo. The best order for you depends on your group’s ages, height restrictions and which attractions are operating that day.
Disney Adventure World brings a different mix, including Frozen, Marvel and Ratatouille experiences. Check the current map and entertainment schedule rather than relying on older videos showing the former Walt Disney Studios layout.
I would choose a handful of priorities before arriving and leave room for breaks. Trying to do every ride, every show and every character meeting in one day can turn an enjoyable visit into a race.

Can you visit Disneyland Paris in one day?
Yes, particularly if you focus on one park and accept that you will not do everything. If both parks are important to you, more time gives you greater flexibility and space for breaks.

Does staying nearby give you early entry?
